Central Arkansas VMware User Group

I just want to take a moment to post about what’s going on with the Central Arkansas area VMware User Group.  We have been working hard behind the scenes over the past few months trying to find a location that we could use for future VMUG meetings.  Finding a location that can handle over 50 people and being able to schedule it within a reasonable time frame has been our biggest challenge to date.  To address this we wanted to find a location that we could count on for at least the next three or four meetings.  After checking into many locations, we got a call from one of the VMUG attendees from the last VMUG.  He offered the meeting space at the new Heifer Village in the River Market in Little Rock.  After visiting the village we agreed that this would be a great location and were told that we could continue to use the location throughout the year!

We have registered the domain name carvmug.org in an effort to give interested parties a place to locate the local VMUG leaders.  We will also being using the site to post announcements, meeting agenda’s, presentations, and we are even going to try to post video’s of past VMUG presentations.  So if your interested in VMware, check out the site and stop by occasionally for updates.  Or if your on Twitter follow “carvmug” to find out when the site is updated.
