If your like me and use instant messaging on a daily basis but find that sometimes it is easier just to pick up the phone and call someone rather than try and explain a detailed process via an IM, then this tip is for you. I was over at a co-workers desk one day and noticed that he had gone through and added each persons phone number to their alias in his buddy list. I thought this was genius! So simple but so useful. It took me about fifteen minutes to go through my buddy list and look up each persons number. Now whenever I am chatting with someone and need to pick up the phone for a more in depth conversation I have their number right there.
